Domestic Waste Collections

Sharkey Waste provides a domestic waste collection service for households throughout West and Northwest Donegal. Upon setup of an account, each household is supplied with a 240lt Waste bin, 240lt Recycle bin, and a Food Caddy.

General Waste and Recycled Waste are collected according to these routes.

Service Options

On Account:
  • 6-monthly payment plans
  • Direct Debit payment plans
  • Annual Weight Allowance
    600kg per annum
  • Annual Weight Allowance
    900kg per annum
  • Annual Weight Allowance
    1200kg per annum
E-tag (Pay As You Go)
  • Service Charge

General Waste

  • Weight limit 40kg per bin

Recycling

  • Weight limit 30kg per bin

Food Caddy

E-tag (Pay As You Go) services are payable via:

the Sharkey Waste App, available from the Playstore/Applestore or via the website.

  • Customers will log in using their unique account number and pin.
  • Accounts must be topped up by a minimum payment of €20, and charges are deducted following each lift. (Top ups appear on account within 4 hours)

With top up card using Payzone/An Post. (Top ups using Payzone/An Post can take up to 4 working days to appear on your account.)
